Hello, I'm Terry Hargraves, Chief Geek of Hargraves Computer Services. I started the company 10 years ago with the mission of providing the advantages of an in-house IT department to companies who didn't have the time or inclination to support a department of their own.

While working for another company, I went through a pile of outside computer contractors before I finally gave up and figured out how to do it for myself. In fact, I got pretty darn good at it and that's why I started HCS. But there's more to service than knowing a bit from a byte. There were some pretty universal problems with the contractors I'd dealt with, and I vowed that I would handle those things differently:

I decided that we weren't going to sell anything but our time. Our recommendations are based solely on what's best for your company, not on what earns the highest profit margin. We will make recommendations, and if you like we'll arrange for the purchase, or pick it up for you and let you reimburse us for the price on the receipt. Or you can do your own comparison shopping, choose the best deal and we'll be happy to work with whatever choices you make.

We assign a primary and a backup technician to each client. We keep records of our work and your network, your people, and your needs. When we come out, we know what's there, we know what we've done before, and where we're heading in the future. You deserve prompt, capable service from the same friendly faces, every time you call.

We make appointments and we keep them, or we call you and tell you why. Of course, life is what it is and inevitably there will be delays, but you will always know where we stand and what our projected arrival time is. And there will be times we will drop everything and run to your side in an emergency. Everyone has those times now and then, and all of our clients understand that they too will receive that kind of service when the chips are down.

We take the time to learn enough about your business that we can make intelligent recommendations on your behalf. We learn when your crunch times are and we stay out of the way but close at hand. We remember how your boss likes his desktop arranged and we make sure we always leave it that way.
